THE MIRA DE AIRE CAVES
The Mira de Aire Caves were discovered in 1947 and still surprise researchers. They were discovered by two locals who descended to a gallery at 20 metres depth.
Its discovery is already a story of surprises, secrets, though they still can hide more secrets. As the water level decreased in 2007, one km of new galleries was discovered. In total, 11 km of galleries are already known.
With these figures, they become the biggest tourist caves in the country and it’s impossible to be indifferent to the enormous beauty of the Mira de Aire Caves.
